Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 21, 2026
youAI lets you train a private AI model on your own writing and put it to work. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Your content is used to build your model. It never trains shared or foundation models for anyone else.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. Your name, email address, password (stored hashed), workspace name, and profile details you provide when you sign up.
- Content you connect or upload. The posts, tweets, emails, blog articles, ad copy, and other material you import or link from connected accounts so youAI can build and fine-tune your model. We call this your "Training Content."
- Model and generation data. The prompts you submit, the content your models generate, feedback and approvals you give in the review queue, and your model configuration (base model, parameters, versions).
- Connected accounts. When you link a third-party service (for example X, Instagram, a blog, an email platform, or an ad library), we receive access tokens and the data you authorize us to read or publish.
- Usage and device data. Log data, IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and actions taken, collected through cookies and similar technologies to operate and secure the Service.
- Billing information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor collects your payment details. We receive limited billing metadata (plan, last four digits, transaction status) but not full card numbers.
- Communications. Messages you send to support and your preferences for product and marketing emails.
2. How we use your information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including importing content, training your models, and generating and publishing content on your behalf.
- Fine-tune, evaluate, and improve the private models in your workspace.
- Personalize your experience and remember your settings.
- Process transactions and manage your subscription.
- Communicate with you about your account, security, and product updates.
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
3. How your content is used to train models
This is core to how youAI works, so we want to be clear:
- Your Training Content and prompts are used to build, fine-tune, and run the models within your own workspace.
- We do not use your Training Content, prompts, or generated outputs to train foundation models, shared models, or the models of any other customer.
- We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
- You retain ownership of your Training Content and of the fine-tuned model weights you create, as described in our Terms of Service.
- We may use aggregated, de-identified data (which cannot reasonably be used to identify you or reconstruct your content) to understand usage and improve the Service.
4. How we share information
We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers (subprocessors). We use vetted third parties for cloud hosting, model training and inference infrastructure, data storage, analytics, email delivery, and payment processing. They may only process data on our instructions and under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
- At your direction. When you connect an account or approve a piece of content for publishing, we send the relevant data to that third-party platform to carry out your request.
- Legal and safety. When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of youAI, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete individual content, model versions, or your entire workspace at any time. When you delete content or close your account, we remove it from active systems and delete or de-identify it within a commercially reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Residual copies may persist in secure backups for a limited period before being overwritten.
6. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest, least-privilege access controls, network isolation, and continuous monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work hard to safeguard your information. Learn more on our Security page.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over your personal information:
- Access a copy of the data we hold about you and export your content.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your data or close your account.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link.
EEA/UK residents. We process personal data under lawful bases including performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligation. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
California residents. Under the CCPA/CPRA you have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of "sales" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

8. International data transfers
youAI is operated from the United States and may process and store data in the United States and other countries. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and secure, and optional analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings or our cookie banner where available.
10. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service and update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
